The 1st Annual Barbershop Harmony Open

After 17 great and fun-filled years, the HarmonyWorks Open made its final curtain call in 2007. In 2008 The Barbershop Harmony Open is being started as a continuation and tribute to the long history of fun, harmony and charitable contribution established by the HarmonyWorks Quartet and the golf event they sponsored for so many years. This event will continue to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Minnesota and has added the Harmony Foundation of the Barbershop Harmony Society. Numerous sponsors have stepped forward to help underwrite the costs of the BH Open. The after-expenses tournament proceeds will be contributed to the Make-A-Wish and Harmony Foundation charities.
Make-A-Wish is a national organization whose goal is to make wishes come true for families of children who are critically and terminally ill. With our help they are continuing this wonderful mission to bring countless smiles to young people across Minnesota.
Harmony Foundation believes singing improves lives. The Foundation's mission is to support and share the gift of singing as an extraordinary means of making lives more enjoyable, satisfying and meaningful. With your support, we are able to fund high school and collegiate music education so that students can develop and advance their love and ability for singing today, tomorrow and the rest of their lives.
The opening ceremony is at 11:45 a.m. on Monday, August 11th at the Elk River Country Club. There will be free access to the driving range from 11:00-11:30 with a shotgun start at 12 p.m. sharp. Following golf will be the dinner and awards ceremony. Prizes will be given for lowest and highest score for Men’s, Women’s and mixed foursomes; fewest putts, longest drive, closest to the pin, and more.
As we make plans for the 1st Annual Barbershop Harmony Open we sincerely hope that you will consider being an integral part of this year’s event by becoming a sponsor for the 2008 BHO! Our goal for 2008 is to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish and Harmony Foundation charities. Your generosity will play a key role in helping us reach our goal. Our sponsor levels are as follows:
Hole In One $2000 and up
Double Eagle $1000 - $1999
(These 2 levels will be recognized on all of our flyers and at the course.)
Eagle Level $500 - $999
Birdie Level $250 - $499
Par Level $100 - $249
(These 3 levels will be recognized at the course as hole sponsors etc.)

Online Registration is also available. All online registrants will be able to select their starting hole for the 2008 Barbershop Harmony Open. Starting hole selections are on a "first come, first serve" basis so be sure to register right away.
